AlternatorFrom GM Performance - This new alternator has an electronic regular assuring safe and reliable operation with positive turn on, integral load response control and over/under voltage monitoring. P and F terminals permit on board computer interface. A new bridge has passivated chips with high reliability and an integral capacitor eliminates wiring, suppresses radio interference and uses less space. High efficiency internal and external fans deliver increased air flow for cooler operating temperatures. Improved brush grades offer longer service life. A dynamically balanced rotor assembly gives stable operation at speeds to 18,000 rpm. For use in racing applications, this is a 74 amp machine with RTV rectifier leads. It has locktite through bolts and B+ terminal. There is a new, beefed-up drive housing. The external fan may be removed for loads not exceeding 25 amps.

 | From GM Performance - If your existing alternator doesn't produce enough amps to keep up with that new high power stereo or current robbing electric fan setup, this remanufactured 94-amp alternator has an integral voltage regulator that's physically interchangeable with earlier, low-amp, standard case size model 10 SI integrally regulated alternators, as well as most standard case size, externally regulated alternators. Wire hook up is the same as 10 SI series.
